Go the Defenders. I rolled mine too (just after I got it, and it's not even blue!, but it survived to fight another day). Don't let a little thing like that put you of... and obviously you haven't !

My son rolled our RRC after a front tyre blowout and took a couple of chips of bone out of his spine. We believe that he was not killed only due to our prayers for him. Perhaps defenders stay more intact after roll overs than the range rover does. I think you need to stop rolling them, as next time things may be worst, John.
:( :)
That would be good once I get the Mud Terrains switched over, we'll go for a play :D
Poo you Pat :)
They are the standard seats. I have a spare set if your interested ;)
Its like that isnt it. I got straight out and sat on the road just staring. Its like there a dunno what the word is. They grow on you and you get attached. The driveline clunk is an example. Only you know how to control it so it doesnt clunk. Just the right amount of revs and timing of the clutch.
When I broke my toe, my brother had to drive the Defender home, drove me nuts. BANG goes the driveline every time he changed gear :(
I tried to insure with Shannons, the lady said she wouldnt insure me because of my age and history. So Im with Just Cars now. Trying to negotiate a market value is a bit tricky.
Like you said I dwell on it now and again but less and less now I have the new project. I think Ill hang on to it. Just see how things go
Thanks for your kind words mate
Im a Hamilton too must be a trait we have
And I'm Tasmanian too as well (but not on the Hamilton side).
You'd think with two heads and six toes on each foot we'd be better drivers!
I should have bought an earlier one Jock,my seats don't look that good.I would cry for a week if my defender was written off,my kids have grown up in it,The other day I found a photo of my 7 year old son sitting on the steering wheel with his legs through onto the dash when he was 2 at the salmon ponds when we drove around tassie. They are a Legend vehicle. Pat
Bit more to the story.
Sent the Defender down to Hobart a fortnight ago :BigCry:
But picked it up today :D
When I towed the other Landy down, my good one was struggling for 80 on the flats. On the way up though. Whoooeee  :firedevil: (apart from the headwind) my little dear was wanting to sit on 90.
JC played with the fuel pump and timing, put the rear locker in, fitted the new old barwork, serviced vehicle, tightened all suspension etc, replaced front springs, fitted radiator and alternator and flushed cooling system
Now it goes like an absolute train, no clunk at all. And although I havent yet driven it without the trailer on it has tons of power. With an empty car trailer (700 odd kg) still pulls bloody easily.
Things are starting to look up now :D
Thanks for looking
And many thanks to JC and great bloke and mechanic :twobeers:
Now have to go and work to pay it all off :( :) :Thump:

Im sure i would react much the same if i was to lose my pride and joy!!!
I know what you mean when you say your mates know you as the defender guy, Grover is apart of my group as much as i am he had a well known face at school and i know i would deffinetly cry if i lost him!
He has become apart of the family :) and im sure your new defender will as well! they all have character just slightly different ones :)
and people were saying I should write a book.
