That would be a very nice setup.
Unless you get on the same dyno on the same day/time, then sadly they do lie. :( Back to back on the same dyno would be fine, but two different dynos wouldn't tell you much due to environment and calibration differences.
thats right slunnie............to do a fair test they would have to be done back to back, and I would imagine with the same tyres etc on.
Bruce Davis had a 'race only' TD5 making over 300bhp...
Dont forget, at 18psi a 2500cc is equiv to over 5000cc
If you cant make 5000cc make 260hp then you should ride a pushbike
And for the record, DYNO's DO Lie... I've seen the same vehicle on 4 dynos read 4 different outputs... Very easy to do...
Also, Std TD5 is 101kw at flywheel.. On a Dyno Dynamics 4wheeler that equated to 38kw at each wheel... Thats a 60% loss in the driveline....
After chipping that vehicle made 89kw at the wheels... you do the math!
think we might have the fastest rusting 90 in oz.:D
When I said dyno's don't lie it was more to do with not what it should make but more what it does make.Just for the record my stock 300Tdi made 63kw at the back wheels,I removed the front D/S.I'm getting it done again next week as I had D/gas fitted last monday. Pat
I think that I have the fasted Land Rover in all of down town Windera.
Actually, I think that I'm the only Disco in Windera.... :)
.... and there isn't really a down town either :(
..... actually, there isn't even a town.
oh well...... :D
Back in 2001, when LR hadnt confirmed that it was releasing the D90 in OZ, a fellow walked into Davis motors with a brand new 110 extreme, and requested it be turned into a 90. Not just any 90, it had to have : auto, maxis, leather, etc etc, and Bruce had to make it go really really fast, with every power extra he could find.
It was built, and i was lucky enough to have a drive (with Bruce in the pas seat) It was the fastest car i had ever driven up to that point, yes it was that quick. Bruce said, without the traction control, it was uncontrollable taking off, even on tar.
Try and find this car and then lay claim.
ps please show the dyno sheets.
