P.S Thats with only the normal amount of fule in the tank, no servoes open on the way out.

Well I run my take empty and then refill each time. I have enough gear living in it to go strait away as long as I don't wish to eat. I do carry about 10 litres of water and always have coffe but no food stored in there.
Recovery gear also lives in the back all the time.

A trio of us here did a "Canonball Run" across the Simpson....

5 Cartons of Beer and 5 bags of chips....

Std spares and 1 20L container of water (just in case) + sat coms

First "real" feed was a counter meal after the crossing

And yes! It was fun....

I remember, when I was a kid, when the asians skittled themselves in the Ferrari and they imposed the 180km/h speed limit, and on telly was a Shelby Cobra replica, local car, passing some competitors

theres a tourist stop at the spot now with a cairn and memorial plaque.

The Disco is always setup to hit the road. Food for about 5-6 days, water for a couple, fuel depends on whats in it. All I have to do is chuck in the swag and clothes.

However, doesnt seems to ever go this smoothly. Its amazing ow much junk we convince ourselves we need to take isnt it?! I might try a bare bones trip one weekend to see what I can live without.
