Aah! the good old E93A,"sit-up-and-beg" transverse springs, mechanical rod operated (read NO brakes) 6 volt electrics, 1938-1953 :eek: in 8hp (Anglia) and 10hp (Prefect/Popular) 4.50 x16 conventional tyres, at a price in 1948 of Anglia 8hp tourer(soft top) of #435 pounds($870) and sedan at #485 pounds ($970) can't even buy a decent scooter for that now:D I bought a 1949 model in 1960 for 30 bob ($3) running registered and blowing smoke :lol2:
