    Thinking of Moving to QLD

    Hi,

We are considering relocating to somewhere around maybe rocky or even further north. I grew up in the Territory and we have a young family, would like the kids to grow up in a more relaxed open community. Miss the lifestyle in Darwin but would love to hear from those that live/have lived there and maybe even where the best places to live are! (prefer coastal or close to)

May or may not have to! (long story, but wife may transfer and I can work from home)

Bt if not be looking for retail work so shouldn't matter too much where. I'm thinking tropics... seem to be a lot of parks around the rocky area, is there much "average" 4x4 type areas around there or is it all closed off?

    thanks

I think Bundaberg would suit you great.

Near the sea, great climate, reef not too far off shore, Fraser Island close by (less than 1.5 hours to the barge), not too big but not too small.

It has fantastic value for money real estate wise and an easy five hour drive Brisbane if you need the big city for any reason.

Further north (the major centres) are getting too busy for my liking. Just look at Mackay for example. (Not that I am knocking it, I lived there for years) but boy has it grown.

Good luck with your search. I am almost a Qlder (I have lived here since coming to study in Brisbane after high school in SA) and it is a great place to live.
