(however I think it is one of the nicest parts of the British Isles)

We had a snow day at school yesterday (school had to close because of the weather) but unfortuneately I missed it cos I am on jury service and I had to make sure I got to court as it was verdict day.

Just an interesting addition to the above weather chat. We have friends who live in Scotland and they were telling us the other day the weather was so cold and depressing, they put on their SAD lamp.:eek:
We've never heard of it, and asked our cousin who was visiting from the UK what it was. Apparently it's a lamp which when put on, gives the warmth and light that we take for granted, from the sun. It supposedly helps with depression when the weather is really bad.
Looked it up on ebay and they cost quite a bit.
No wonder we love the life in Oz:D:D
