There is the update model which came mechanically in late 93 (3.9 R380 ) and the cosmetic update that came in early 94- so no yours isnt the same as a 95 model. All series 1 disco's were based on a rangie chassis but the pre updates virtually used the same shell as the RRC but with the different panels which you can see by the shape of the dash and heater controls etc.

You have an early Disco. The 1995 MY was an updated version of yours.

Much the same mechanically but with a new dash/HEVAC & exterior lights.

The Disco is essentially a different body on a Range Rover chassis. There are some differences but basically RR underneath.

Not the Dash or trim panels on A pillar but everything else should fit

Well, I've seen the late D1 dash in classic RRs so anything is possible.....

No I think you will find that you have seen a RRC soft dash model, there were a few subtle differences.

I know someone who has tried and it doesnt fit but go ahead and try if you like, not my money.

Sorry, but I know what an MA RR dash looks like. I have been with LR since 1989 & know most of the model changes inside out.

I know someone who fitted the whole dash from an update D1 into a late 80s classic. It's not a straight bolt in job but the body is physically the same size on the RR & D1. I thought it would look disgusting but it turned out quite OK.

I am sure you are right as I remember some years ago seeing photos of one and a how to brief. As you said its not a straight swap like the early model dash, but can be done. I am not sure if it was on here in the early days of this site or another predecessor to this site or a UK site. I am fairly sure it was in Australia though.
From memory there was a little bit of modding but not too much as the dimesnison are fairly close.
I am sure someone else not that long ago put a Commodore dash into a RRC as well.
