    Current drop is a Glenlivet.
If it's a good drop then no contaminating, not even ice or water. If it's a cheapie then hide it with coke.

I own a bar called Fumo Blu, have a google.
We have many single and blended whiskeys.
There are people who put ice and coke with everything.
Fact is, the cooler the drink the less palate and flavour it will have.

    Each to their own though.

To enjoy a scotch, add a splash of water, that way there is still the full aroma but not the intensity.

Putting Vodka in the freezer is another silly myth. For the cheap and nasty stuff, sure hide the taste but grey goose straight is very nice.

    Still, each to their own.
Bit like puttting 22inch rims in a Rangie really.

    Absolutely essential when drinking whiskies.

In Queensland, "green death" was the name for the Bulimba beers from Qld. Breweries, now Carlton & United. Notorious for savage hangovers hence the name. Some of their lines were Bulimba Gold Top, Bulimba Pilsener, Toowoomba Draught, Brisbane Bitter, Melbourne Bitter. The bulk of their sales were from their chain of tied houses. In pretty well every freehold pub in Qld. then if you asked for a beer you got XXXX. If you wanted a Bulimba you had to ask for it by name.

used to work at united distillers in huntingwood nsw ( eastern creek ) spirits outlet for guiness company. jw blue is a blend with the minimum being 15yrs, it's as smooth as a baby's bum, anyone gets one, you will savour for a long time.

shame about the price, used to be 75 beer chits for staff, but that was some time back, although we were only allowed one per year.

try the old malts, lagavulin (16yr) peaty taste, cracks the ice when you drop em in, that's my fave, hundy beer chits at my local so only a couple a year at my wage

    cheers

"Green Death" was the derogatory name given to Staminade back in my Bushfire days. Quite like the stuff myself

Re Scotch.....have been promising myself for years to start appreciating Malt.

Haven't got there yet One day.
