One on the only occasions in the last 30 years they got their thinking straight and away from Euro zone.
mmm the problem is that Australia is such a small market for land rover that they don't really care what happens here, (after all 2 million more people live in London than live in the whole of Australia). After all untill Jan this year the British Army was the biggest buyer of Land Rovers in the world. Now Mike Street of SHB hire is the biggest buyer of land rovers in the world. He is an old freind In fact went out with his daughter for 2 years , he was telling me how they kiss his Ar*e when we were at the 60th due back in May at Gaydon. They call him up for meeting and run pretty mush everything by him and ask for his imput into new models. And all he does is hire out land rovers across the UK to contruction and builders, but buys more land rovers a month than Land Rover Australia do a year

    - crappy door lock springs.... what were they thinking
    - in order to replace the door lock springs you have to remove the whole assembly out and in order to take the whole assembly out you need to take the window frame out first.... what were they thinking

limited stock, colour choices, no cool bits on the 130 like power everything (probly die anyway) should come with more extras as standard,

There you go again with Euro zone thinking.
    • How many people in London buy Land Rovers.
    • Land Rover have fallen a long way from the market leading position they held in the 1960's, if all they can suggest is that an equipment hire company in the UK is their largest customer and Land Rover have to brown nose him - WWTT
    • Land Rover has lost its military contracts for Australia and many other countries because of their Euro zone thinking.
    • It is a sad day for Land Rover when the British Army is eclipsed by a UK private car hire company. (Who will Land Rover brown nose when SHB gives up on Land Rover and buys Toyota?)
    • The biggest market in the World for Land Rover for their first 25 years was Australia and during that first 25 years, particularly the first 10 while they were developing the marque there was a Land Rover engineer*from Solihul on the Snowy Mountains Scheme - then there was BLMC and they stopped listening to non-Euro zone customers.
    • The Isuzu spec Land Rover would find plenty of buyers in Australia, South Africa, the rest of Africa as a continent, South America as a continent, Iran, the middle east.

    WWTT

This forum would be pretty small if it weren't for threads discussing the replacement of the pathetic, failed power plants used in Land Rovers and that includes the V8 petrol which was a failed design before it went into the first Range Rover or P5B Rover car. WWTT

    * the Land Rover engineer still lives in Sydney, but I won't mention his name but can supply his phone details if absolutely necessary.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Changing the wheel stud pattern used on every LR since the 1940s on the P38 and then the D2 - WWTT?

But then, as with most of the good innovations introduced to 4WDs by LR, Toyota copied this stupid change too...
