    Black Bonnet

Other people have been talking about painting their bonnets, so I got all enthused and did mine.

It took about an hour. A bit of sanding and masking, then a couple of coats of satin black.

It looks better than the faded milky paint that was there before.

The paint on the rest of the car is still good, so it doesn't need doing. Apart from the roof, but I can't see that .

I think when dullbird reads this it might be misread as SATAN black

I might not be as fussy as Dullbird. I did mine half in the shed, on a windy day, with spray cans... . I certainly didn't take the bonnet off to do it, I didn't even take the lights off the top of the bullbar (I only put them on today to make space to pack for the trip).

That panel is pretty good, what you can see in that pic is dust and dirt.

I can't remeber the last time the poor old thing had a wash, then the sanding dust got blown on top as well.
