Thread: Snubbed By a SVX

I saw an SVX crossing Spit Road (Lower North Shore, Sydney) a couple of months ago - I was excited, it looked gorgeous, so I waved... to nothing.

Although I was sitting in a Suzuki Swift, so they may have misunderstood

I own a SVX and wave to all Land Rovers, only get replies from other Defenders though.
My wife is the other driver, she has been taught to wave although I am not sure she is as fanatical about it as I am.

Anyone who knows me would never confuse me for a Yuppie. So not all SVX owners are yuppies. I've had another SVX overtake me a while back and there were big waves all round.

Now, we have been through the etiquette before - if you are travelling in the same direction then it is acceptable NOT to wave because if you end up beside each other at the next set of lights it becomes awkward.

Oncoming waves are of course obligatory, unless you have dropped a cigarette in your lap or have a spider in the cabin - then just avoiding a head on collision is acceptable.

Once again, acceptable etiquette. Not running OVER a Suzuki Swift is considered polite.

Kelvin I was parked opposite you at Bunnings over the weekend. Admired your well behaved dog before I went in. Well set up Defender as well.
Looked like you were donating blood when we left.

Bunnings over the weekend was quite the place for Defenders. I saw another 4 of them and one of them waved, the other 3 were parked and empty so good reason for not waving.

small world.......i did notice your defender, being black i first thought it might have been JohnR's.......damn i didn't notice it was an SVX, does the SVX have extra bling on the front cause i did think it look a little differant

yep decided to donate some blood, as it was raining i couldn't do anything in the yard so i thought why not
