Good suburbs around the Gold Coast

For that money you can buy a first class house in Brisbane's inner suburbs and be close to everything. Practically walk to some of the hospitals.

The major ones are

RBWH - Royal Brisbane & Women's, Herston
RCH - Royal Children's Hospital, Herston
PAH - Princess Alexandra - Annerley
PCH - Prince Charles - West Chermside
Holy Spirit - West Chermside
Mater Misericordiae - South Brisbane, public, children's, private
St. Andrew's - Spring Hill
Wesley - Auchenflower
QEII - Cooper's Plains

and a number of smaller public and private hospitals scattered through the suburbs, like Wynnum, Redlands, Redcliffe, Caboolture, Logan

Seen as my area of responsibility would be the area nth of NSW and Sth Beenleigh as much as I like the Sunshine coast I would like to keep 20-30mins from the Goldcoast Hospital.

Hey DD...which GC Hospital as there is one at Southport and one at Robina....which would be 15-20 minutes apart and hence also a difference in area's. Also depends if you want a suburban area or acreage as GC Robina is close to one of the main acreage area's on the coast for example. Any questions feel free to ask...from those that actually live and love the coast :),

I'm renting in Coomera Waters for 6 months till I find a nicely priced Wet block gem...lovin the area as well..been here a week..no ADSL at home yet due to the usually balls up by Telstra....
