Good suburbs around the Gold Coast

    Hi guys,
need some input on some good burbs around the Gold coast, an opportunity has arisen for me to move there if i wish, I do like the place and a change is as good as a rest.
I have been looking around at houses in the Coomera area but what other areas about 20 mins away from the GC Hospital (wife) are there?

Coomera is not Gold Coast in spite of what the land criminals advertise. Gold Coast is the strip from Labrador to Point Danger. Nerang, Mudgeeraba, Helensvale etc. are hinterland. Coomera is not even gold Coast hinterland, but an outer area of feral Beenleigh.

what sort of lifestyle are you after and around what sort of dollars to spend?

Coomera is taking off now and you're on the M1 for a quick trip up to brissy or down towards coolangatta... otherwise if you want beach then over towards main beach and surfers... if you want more trees/mountains can head in towards wongawallan or back of nerang... paradise point is a nice area for a friendly feeling village atmosphere to a degree also close to the broadwater and restaurants along the esplanade... or can go more upmarket and head to hope island... lastly have southport, benowa, ashmore for the usual suburbia feel... basically all those are around 20mins or less from the hospital.

Ummm obviously been 15 years or so since you last came down this way Brian and suggest you take another look... Coomera is booming along now and even pushing towards Ormeau... growing faster than is liked. None of those suburbs represent anything like beenleigh.

although a bit more than 20mins

Actually all those suburbs are assuming you're talking about the GC hospital in Southport... if you meant the GC hospital in Robina then that is a whole other range of suburbs to play with.

    X2

Now that the economy is slowing, there could be some bargains around, BUT, I would wait until the school holidays have finished, and the inflated advertisied prices have fallen, why not have a look at the Sunshine Coast, good Hospitals, same easy straight highway run (M1) or even Bribie Island, canal developments, closer to Brisbane large hospital at Caboolture and Redcliffe.

But wait until the Holidays have finished,

    cheers

My dad lives at Isle of Capri, nice part of the world.
But I do tend to agree with weeds.
An hour to the GC for me, just far enough away.....
