i think you also need to add an age thing into the poll - cos anyone over 40 that vote's something as uncool will pretty much automatically mean it's actually cool.
i'm 30 and voted for cool and useful.

I'm considering mounting my spotlights on top of the wings where the bolt goes through the panel to the bracket underneath. Could be the only bug-eyed land rover in brisbane.

Anyway redneck away I say, if its cool to you thats all that matters.
Sorry, but if they are visible from the driver's eye level, then the installation is regarded as very naughty by Qld. Transport.

All this and no one has mentioned white out??
In the Sahara this was discouraged due to the white out condition it can create all of sudden no shadows and you are on your roof
Depends on your reason for doing it I suppose does it put you into the category of the w****er in the Bundy ute with the 16 aerials??

Personally I'd never do it. First trip into the bush and they'd get banged up, knocked about or broken off. Only got to look at the number of scratches on my roof!

    Each to his own though!

Well I go bush when ever I can, day and night, with or without roof lights fitted and I haven’t got any scratches on my roof, about the area that doesn’t have scratches.
