In recent months I've seen a keyed Disco and a Pajero. Both were keyed over every panel. I also saw a P38A that had every panel keyed and the roof and bonnet had been jumped on, and the doors kicked in. I suspect it was a write off.
I also recently saw a near-new car, not 4WD, that had many of its panels keyed.
Bloody mongrels!
Happened to a hire car I had just a few weeks ago. Keyed full length of the bonnet right in front of the driver. I can not imagine what is going on inside these people heads, what satisfaction they receive.
Would also be interested to learn just what they think, should it happen to them.
Hire car company never said a word.
This kind of thing gets on my tits something chronic! I also live in that same Inner West suburb and I also own and drive a non-too-environmentally friendly Disco but if some tree hugger vandalised my car because 'they' thought I shouldn't be driving it I would be livid. It is my recreational vehicle - not an everyday runner. I cycle 20km a day to work but I bet that wouldn't be taken in to consideration (as it were) with some people.
I drive my "big" car less than 7000km a year (including once a month "big" shopping trips, off road expeditions and short trips to the mechanics the following week) but I will always be seen as committing a much greater offence than someone driving something smaller on a daily commute less than I cycle each day plus whatever other journeys they do unnecessarily.
