I have discovered that windscreens when shattered get into everything! i cleaned the zook out yesterday well most of it but there is still glass IN the dash it will have to stay there, but more concerning a lot of it is in my skin! i have lots of little scratches half from the tree and some i think the windscreen but the most concerning thing was when i looked at my black sheets this morning they were covered in little pieces of glass! its much like sand after going to the beach!

How to get rid of surface splinters
Dilemma: You have dozens of little splinters in your hands and arms from helping your little brother with his secret wooden fort. Isn't there a way to get rid of them without having to pluck each and every one out with tweezers?
Solution: Dip your finger in a tub of liquid glue and smear it all over the problem area. Once it dries, peel it off, just the way you used to when you were a bored little kid in arts-and-crafts class. The splinters will come right out along with the peeling glue!
Why this works: Surface splinters are hard to get out not because they're deeply embedded but because they're tiny and hard to grasp even with the daintiest of fingers. The sticky glue serves a function similar to a lint roller when the glue is applied evenly across the splintery surface of your skin. Plus, it's super fun to peel glue off your hands.
Rub out splinters with a pumice stone
SiloDog's splinter removal hack should come in handy during these barefoot backyard days:
Next time your little ones have splinters in their hands or feet, try this: Let them soak well in the bathtub, then use a pumice stone (like you would for rough heels or elbows) to rub over the splinters in a circular motion before they dry off. They can even do it themselves. It seems to work for those playgound / deckrail splinters pretty well.Dunno if any of this works on perspex splinters. How to Remove a Splinter Without Tweezers, Squeezing, or Pain
Children (and many adults) often regard the removal of a splinter with terror. Here is an easy, painless way to remove a splinter. This method will even work to remove a deeply embedded glass shard.
Steps
- Wash your hands.
 - Irrigate the affected area with a liquid antiseptic such as Betadine, or just wash the affected area with soap and water.
 - Make a paste using water and about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
 - Put this paste on a bandage and apply the bandage to the affected area.
 - After 24 hours, remove the bandage and rinse the area. The splinter will be sticking out of the skin and you or the child will be able to remove it easily.
