Our beloved Isuzu - washer off the bridge back in 1987 in a flash flood. I had to scramble out the sliding window and swim for it. The water was under the top of the guide post in the background.

Wow! that would be scary! glad nobody got hurt or killed!
I claimed insurance for this and then bought it back at auction, fixed it and drove if for another 5 years. In those days you could remove the number plates before handing the car in to the insurance company as I have personalised plates. When I bought it back it was still registered.
The only damage was a bent rod, crook speedo and small dings in a guard and roof.

Here is my biggest stuff up, the good thing to come out of this was we got the Disco after our Explorer was written off after the drowning.

Think if its clean water it may keep running. Mine stopped after 10 minutes in very deep filthy muddy water. Still works now, over 4 years later as a spare.
