I think the bandit suggestion is closer to what I'm thinking. I like the BMWs but they are way to pricy. What do people think of the gsxf 750? They are a bit unusual looking with all that fairing but you seem to be able to get one (99-00) for around 5ish. Look quite comfy too.
I'll second the BMW-GS choice.
I've got the R1200GS and it's a very comfortable ride, yet it's still light & agile enough to go sports-bike-baiting... ;)
I do >45,000km on the bike every year so comfort was one of the main reasons I got the GS. I can be in the saddle for 2+ hrs, arrive and still feel fresh... I wouldn't be able to do that on a sports bike. The other reason I went BMW was the shaft drive as I couldn't be bothered doing chains & sprockets every few weeks!!!

Not a lot of horsepower, but a comfortable cruiser (moreso the Bonneville, with more comfortable handlebars).

BMW- Go the 750 3 cylinder model.
Alternatively look for a Yamaha TRX. Its a twin and great all rounder.

BMW F650 GS, I got mine new in 2006 and ride to work every day (90km round trip) never had a problem with it.:D
This is such a hard topic, everyone likes a particular brand. The ones I wouldnt go for are suzukis. Seen the build quality and really not that happy with them (well, going by the sports bike scene).
The GSXF750 is a good bike. I like the Bandit because the bigger motor just makes it more relaxing to ride.Quote:
