Having been personally involved with numerous mechanics who, have worked in both LR and Tojo, Nissan workshops, I will reserve any statements so as to not upset anyone here:angel:
They ALL have flaws;)

If you own an LR, Nissan or what ever, yes they all have their problems.
But have you ever come across a yota owner who admitted ever having a problem, no such thing as a toyota that breaks down, just doesn't happen.
Problem is that this is no longer the case with Toyotas but try having a civil conversation with a yota owner.
Its the same as trying to have a conversation with one eyed rover owners unfortunately, always the same record, again.................and again............and again;)
My father owns a 79 series Troopy RV, from new, He'll be sure to let me know if it breaks down:D Just a shame it doesn't:p
But we have every reason to be one eyed.
Lets face it, even though Toyota tries to make people think they make luxury vehicles, they have yet to actually make one that is a REAL luxury vehicle.
Toyota make both SELF LABELLED luxury cars and 4x4s, better known as Lexus *****E but have never had a vehicle designated by the Europeans as being a luxury vehicle, while the very first year the L322 was released, it was rated as one of the top 4 luxury CARS leased in Europe that year, and LR don’t make CARS.
Being as I drive one of the most luxurious vehicles and THE most luxurious 4x4, why shouldn’t I be one eyed
I agree, nothing compares to a rover, in the luxury category
But still as little need to can Tojo drivers as Tojo drivers do rover drivers, its kinda hypocritical;)
Its still very hard to beat japanese quality control, compare similar age vehicles, you look under the bonnet of a 79 series, EVERYTHING has a place, clip, joint, a D2 on the other hand, looks as though I've done and engine conversion, but worse:D, power steer hoses that rub, auto cooler lines that seperate etc......
The D3 is the defining moment of build quality for rover products, well assembled
I'm not lucky enough to own a late rover product, plans were for a supercharged sport within a few years, but Ex wifey costing me money ruined that:(
I think somes folks are confusing the old models air suspension RR with the new ones. No problems with the new.
LandRover have improved their reliability and Toyota have got worse. And LR are technically streets ahead of Tojo now.
Tojo has plenty of problems with the LC200s TDV8. One guy on his third engine!
Does anyone know what Clarkson has himself at the moment. He had a couple of P38 Range Rovers then changed to the Volvo xc90. Is there now a new Range Rover on his drive replacing the Volvo?
