I've received a few unsolicited SMS messages from companies saying "This message is free, but your next ones will be charged at $6.00ea. Ph 1300 xxx xxx to unsubscribe." I've phoned my mobile service provider and they have reversed a few of the debits, but say there is nothing I can do to stop the messages. Even replying to "Unsubscribe" costs me a SMS charge or local call. Complaints to the http://www.tio.com.au/] Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman[/url] have no effect, as they say the SMS'ers are operating within the Code of Conduct by offering an "Unsubscribe" option.:o
