Ah yes but did you have an adventure? Or just travel from A to B listening to Bach

Yes, I would say that is necessary.

When we holiday at coffs, on the beach just down from the Bowls club, Thirsty Camel and BP, near the one way underpass to go under the railway and over the creek, there was a block of low rise flats behind a couple of blocks of units. It was always parked there and a VERY tidy unit.

I never did catch the person who owned it, although the company that was kept in that particular set of flats was not the most open to want to start up conversations with, it looked like a well maintained and very much loved rover. With alot of beach work.

That's the one. He did use it for launching his boat. This does make me a little nervous. But havent found any major rust in the obvious places..... yet.

He seems to have gone silly with the rust proofing which looks a little crude but seems to have worked.

Nice purchase, I've always thought the LWB was a great concept
Ummm, in a word no. Especially with overdrive selected The speedo is shot (Hopefully only a new cable) but was bouncing around all over the place and the oddometer doesnt work! I had to estimate my speed based on reading sign posts and my watch I would have averaged 70km/h with a range of 50km/h to 90km/h. I only overtook one vehicle in 1500km (No kidding! and she was on L plates and confused!)

    noises

I reckon 85/140 synthetic gear is probably good for reducing decibels in the cabin by about 5-10db. Or maybe the pitch just changed enough to notice. Now I can hear how hard the 202 is screaming on the fwy, makes me nervous, should a 202 be asked to rev this hard for an hour at a time.
nice rig to by the way

I'm driving the SIII with no gearbox cover (to get to the throttle linkages), oh my Lord, the heat generated is incredible, and the NOISE yikes, what a shocker! Every time you want to talk to someone next to you, you have to go into cruise mode, foot off the accelerator, neutral gear, just so you can hear what they're saying!

One thing for sure your 202 will not last long at highway speeds , the sound of the top of a piston coming off will give it away unless it spins a bearing first

Hehe - That does look very similar! Even got the crack in the dashboard in the same place!

May have to purchase a motorcycle type intercom to speak to the passangers or perhaps some noise canceling headphones like chopper pilots use!

I have stuck some more pics here if anyone is interested.
