There is a good chance it is not the cable. These symptoms are consistent with the speedo drive gear slipping on the transfer case output shaft. To fix this, disconnect the rear prop shaft and tighten the big nut on the end of the shaft.Quote:

How did your right foot/ankle go? - I found it cramping up with the awkward angle my throttle foot was at. I'm thinking of rigging up a choke cable as a hand throttle (70's cruise control;)??)

I had this set up on my old BJ40 Cruiser - It sat just above the throttle peddle. Was really good for low speed bouncy 4wding - eg: river crossings - where it can be harder to maintain constant throttle.Quote:
