Ever had this happen to you??

Well last week we were driving along the highway in the disco at about 80km when there was a big CRACK, then the sound of shrapnal flyng throughout the engine bay
    It didn't sound good
We pulled over and opened the bonnat to fined that we were now missing two fan blades, i looked back along the highway and sighted a pore carpet python trying to crawl off the road (he was pretty messed up)
He had been sitting in the warmth of the engine bay over night then while we were driving along the highway he decided to stick his head in the fan blade
I felt bad all day after that.
Well has anyone else had any experiances like this?
Up for a new fan blade now, anyone got a fan blade to fit a 200tdi d1??

Yes, have heard of this before, except change Disco for Kingswood and python for cat.

Though I believe the story might have been part fiction.

I have treated the odd cat for getting bits stuck in fan belts over the years, including one which was almost skinned. It does happen Cats seem to like V8s best - more room on top of the engine to stretch out.

I had a snake a few weeks back in my engine bay. I noticed it stick its head out during the day. Took ages to catch it. Found out a few days later it was there to shjed its skin

    Fan

Anyone know if the 300TDI has the same fan as the 200TDI on a D1?

Now change the Kingswood to an electric train. Yes I do have P.O.L but not to be posted here. It wasn't smelling nice either.
