Thumbs up It's been a while....time to get serious!

Hello to all on the forum.

I joined last year with the intention of getting out and about in my Disco which I found myself 'lumbered' with after marital split.
All good intentions of joining in on a club drive were thwarted by work or other commitments. Also I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the vehicle or not.

So....I can't sell the Disco for the price I want (to clear the debt) which leaves me in the position of paying it off until its mine and then probably keeping it until I'm in a rocking chair with crocheted rug over my knees.

With this in mind I want to get serious about getting this machine where it belongs....out bush as my Toorak Tractor has never been off road.

Would someone please advise me (again, oops, forgotten what I was supposed to get) on the bare necessities kit wise for a trip.

Also, out of curiousity is there a women's only landrover forum on here?
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated so that I can get out and about with you guys as you seem to have so much fun!

    Cheers

    Welcome Back

    a womens only forum?

it can seem so at times

    as for off road kit,,
a front and rear tow point, snatch strap, and rated shackle would be a minimum.
a well maintained(serviced) standard D2 will get you into and out of most places,,

Driver training is offered by most Land Rover clubs

yep theres a woman landrover club.

most members are easily identified by looking in through the drivers side window and counting the pedals in the drivers side footwell.

and theres a lot of people around here that get by wearing a blue and white stripey apron.
