RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
No!
I don't like the fact it's blocking the spots and the grill.
it looks like its in a cradle...so my guess is it can be moved back to front...seeing as though there is a reciever hitch below it I wonder whether it is in fact just stored there while offroad and moved down to the hitch if needed
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
I'd have to agree with Dullbird. The receiver below looks like its usual position, the high location would have a couple of disadvantages and at least 1 advantage.
- Firstly it blocks the spots as mentioned, but also airflow to the radiator.
- Secondly it has a lot of leverage off the chassis mounts and could easily winch (rotate) the bar off the car instead of moving the car over the obstacle. You would want to add extra stays from the top of the bar back to the chassis near the front cross member.
- It would be good when the nose is buried in a hole or behind a rock.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
running with the assumption that where it is is the stowage position for one of the ARB reciver hitch winch carriers...
yes and no....
not while I was highway running or in sand.
if I was low gearing it off road like it appears to be in that pic yes

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Looking at how it is mounted above the chassis rails and the Bar mounts I would suspect that a fair load would cause the Bullbar to pivot forwards.
