i take it you mean TENTERFIELD, in which case you actually mean TAMWORTH which is the cuntry music capital of Australia

the sign saying no pets is a bigger problem,,
and only 8 months to figure it out

tamworth is a great place at festival time. lots of music of all different types, apart from country and western, you'll find blues. rock, country swing, rockabilly, bluegrass.
only rained on me once in 25 yrs, but have to admit, i missed a couple and it did rain a few of those times. the main problem is that it's stinking hot and very little relief from it except inside the clubs, which usually have some dodgy country singer during the day.

Something a bit more central or like others have said- move around the country each year.
Being in Perth, we are so far away from everywhere- but half the fun is getting there.
I like the idea- an national Landrover rally/jamboree (was national your talking about i hope- didn't read all replies).
Imagine cupplathowsan landies in one small town- and the convoys around the country-----Yeehaw! whens it on.

This is sounding awsome. I wont know if i can commit just yet, i dont start in the new job until september so wont know if i can secure the time off for sure. But when i find out if i can secure the time off i will be there with bells on.
