Clever move, we used to rent out TV's and anytime an old Black and white set (yeh, I know I'm showing my age) broke down we'd always loan them a nice new colour set while I repaired it. Funny how many people decided to pay more and keep the nice shiny new colour TV.

I'm sure there's nothing like that going on here though. :twisted:

Yeah - maybe - the thought did occur to me - but last time I got a loan vehicle it was an old beaten up Mazda ute!

Great! And I got stuck with a p!ssweak petrol FL2 this week. Nice looking and comfy inside, but the throttle response with the automatic transmission is driving me nuts.

Maybe if you have the D3 over the week-end we could have another crack at getting up to the retreat just to see how capable it is. Surely a few hundred scratches down the side won't bother the dealer :twisted:.

I know someone with a Defender 90 as a toy and a Disco3 as a "car" - can't hardly get the keys from his missus though. I gather she frowns on the idea of him, ahem, altering it.

Mmm - I've seen these vehicles drive through raging rivers, slippery mud tracks - all sorts of things - yeah - lets do it!

That's a pretty balanced garage in my opinion - and even though Kat said last night she thought the 110 was more fun to drive, she was last seen heading out in it to go shopping - in Penrith. :D

Doesn't have terrain response? if it does put it in sand mode will pick up the throttle response.
Gets you off the lights quicker:D

Scallops,saw a brand new one thirty there.

I was allowed to take the Puma for a drive around the block and was surprised how comfy & quiet it was,and also its not real slow.The wipers do look like they are off a 1960 VW beetle,and the fit & finish,we wont go there.....

Dunno if it is comfy enough to do 1250K's in a day,as i have done(with another driver),in the D2!
Cruise control would be good:)

It was comfy enough for us to do 12,000 in 4weeks....some of those days were over 1000k.

Spaceship arrived at our place as the Puma has gone in to Austral.First we got a FL2,then they wanted it back & were good enough to change it over for a TDV6,09 spec D3 SE.
I didnt get a chance to drive the FL,but the wife did & liked it.For the money i would rather have a Puma:)
The D3,is an absolute beauty,so quiet,smoothest auto i have ever driven,beautiful seats,and very comfortable.
It actually drives like a petrol.
Wife thought it was a bit big.
Massive improvement on the D2,which is our daily driver.
Will have a bit more of a play with it on the weekend:)
