When it's been stopped for a while it's noisey for a couple of minutes, and if I slip through a round-a-bout sorta smartish, to bag up one of those slow Cruiser/HiLux traffic calming devices, as the valves change over the steering momentarily becomes heavy. Pump maybe?

It could be an airlock in the system,whats the fluid level like.

It was down slightly, but I could still see it without removing the strainer. Topped it up, took about 1/2 a shot.

air in system bleed box

sliping belt tighten belt

worn pump strip inspect repair as required

it may not be the pump at all check the uni joints from the steering box up to the coloum its not un known for these to seze up and get stiff
