I got my sea legs on Peasholme Park boating lake in Scarborough aged 5,when I fell from the topdeck of a passing United bus landing on a rather fat lady who was from Ponefract, she was in a scaled down fully armed Frigate with her son Kelvin, they both had tatoos of frogs on each of there arms,he was the CPO on leave from HMS Cowslip, which was in dry dock at Whitby following being boarded by pirates off Skegness who made off with the ships propellers.
I used to listern to Radio Caroline from then on because they were at sea !
