Five or six times, all recovered eventually. Two were dumped within walking distance - same car twice. One gone for months, I think until rego ran out. One gone long enough to pay out insurance, and found less than a kilometre away after a string of servo robberies. Fifth one recovered outside Dobbo's work. I don't think he had anything to do with it.

Of couse he did. He is the mafia boss up that way. Must have been found just before it was loaded onto the train on it's way to Ron's place.

In the early nineties the Upper Mt Gravatt shopping centre car park in Brisbane was loosing a couple of cars a day. This went on for nearly 6 months before they were finally caught. They had a tilt tray tow truck and were just winching them on and driving off. If anyone asked said the owner had lost the keys and with electronic locks it had to be taken to the dealership to be fixed. It seems that everyone who asked thought this was reasonable and so did not think to tell anyone.

I had a 120y stolen from out the front of a mates place in Ashburton (melb inner suburb) one night.

We came back from a party and past my car parked on the street a few streets down.

We went back to see what was going on and it was open with a note on the steering wheel reading "This thing is useless"...

Nothing was missing, change still in the ashtray and every thing, thought it must have just been joy riders with a sense of humor.

Good luck finding your truck Dean.
