No, the other way. The 4.6 has the best of the bores that are in that engine, but they run the same block as the 4.0, just with the same bores that are at the thicker end of things. The extra 600cc is from a longer throw crank into the 4.0 block.
I'd be thinking more along the lines of the last 3.5's which have a smaller bore and hopefully thicker bore walls, and I think (but needs to be confirmed) they had a better setup bottom end also for durability.
