Not out this way it doesn't!

We can't get next G reception in town, but I can get Optus.

The people around here on Next G internet have to pay out another $250 for an external antenna to get internet and only car kits will work for phones, even the blue tick ones.

Can you tell me where to get one!

It says in the U.K that they will be released here later in the year.

Thanks for any help, I can't wait.

I used to manage Laptops and mobiles for a large companys field workforce here in Gippsland. This is the phone that they used.

    ZTE F158

Found these to be prety reliable and very robust. They are NOT waterproof. They have a huge battery so last a long time between charges. They come in blue or orange which makes them easy to find when you put them down and have a ring setting on them that you can hear over a 9" grinder. They have a camera and bluetooth if your'e into that stuff.

The only downside was that when put in and taken out of a handsfree cradle 10 times a day eventually the external antenna plug & battery plugs would fail. Also would tend to have a rhythmic 'click' on some when in the cradle. Can't think of any other major issues. If you want a good solid NextG phone and don't want to use a handsfree kit then these are pretty solid.

    Guys

I have seen and used them but they are too heavy.

I really just like the landy ones because of the land rover signiture.

We get a new phone from our suppliers anytime we need one(vodafone), which is usually every 8 months due to the amount of use and abuse.

I get haggled cause of my Disco where all the other PM's use SS utes.
I want to give them more to pay me out over.

Oh and I want one, they look like a Landy challenge phone.

Tough Mobile Phone from Landrover !

    http://www.landroverphone.co.uk/

Land Rover has come up with a hardcore mobile phone able to withstand extreme punishment

Land Rover's latest model has just been released, but it's not a 2-door SUV or even a rugged crossover model.
    It's a phone.

The Indian-owned British car maker has developed a mobile phone "as tough as its vehicles".

Sonim Technologies was tasked with creating a phone that can be bashed, smashed and even submerged without catastrophically malfunctioning and the result is the Land Rover S1 by Sonim.

As well as being the ultimate accessory for Landy owners, the phone is well suited to outdoor use thanks to its robust construction. It's the world's first IP-67 rated GSM mobile phone, which means it meets a high standard and is "totally impervious to dust, as well as dirt, shocks and drops".

The Land Rover S1 phone is also waterproof to a depth of one metre for up to 30 minutes and is resistant to pressures of up to 400 kilograms. Land Rover claims the S1 phone can survive a two-metre drop onto a hard surface and will operate in extreme temperatures (-20°C to 55° C). It comes with a three year unconditional guarantee and features extra-Loud speakers for use in extremely noisy environments.

Tech specs for the Land Rover S1 phone include a two-megapixel waterproof camera with built-in flash, a torch light, FM radio, 2GB memory slot, J2ME Java for mobile, WAP browsing through its in-built Opera Mini WAP browser, Bluetooth functionality and a built-in GPS.

The Land Rover S1 by Sonim is sold by Land Rover via the site here or through the mobile phone supplier's retail website here, and is priced at £299.99.

I have the ZTE also. Reception is wonderfull. Only issue I have is the software crashing every couple of days. When it crashes you can't answere the incoming call and the only thing that works is the off button.

My work nokia is woefull out here for reception and they have already replaced the phone for me.
