I do all the time. 3 landys, 1 sedan, 4 motor bikes, and 4 trailers to rego. If its due and its not pay day, then it dont get paid and obviously it dont get used.
Hope Victoria doesn't jack up rego prices or something will need to go.

I sympathise mate, Just got mine a couple days ago and it's the same - 6cyl Kingswood is around $800 for a year. Looks like i will be going 6 months for $430 again :(
I feel for you mate because a 5cyl is banded with a 6cyl and therefore you pay 6cyl rego fees. The IIA is due in october, hopefully I can afford 1 years rego on that by then. In janruary when the Kingswood is due again I am thinking of putting it on club rego (less that $200 a YEAR :o) and using the IIA as a daily driver
Wow.... Does that include your CTP?
Down here I pay the following (includes CTP) - 12 months...
1800cc Motorbike $407
800cc Motorbike $407
Delica Wagon $448
Discovery TD5 $497
Vitara $448
Trailer $27
Dont moan too much here in the UK car tax on a D3 is £405 (about 825 AU dollars) and that does not include CTP.
The Queensland government has very few options when it comes to raising taxes.
The big ones are stamp duty and mining revenues, which have both been hammered. There isn't much they can do about these.
The other big two are rego and speeding fines, which they are obviously doing everything they can to increase the yield from these two.
Thats all well and good but I just wonder when society is going to 'crack it' with governments and their taxes.
For example, the Victorian Government has spent 1 Billion dollars on the implimentation of a train/tram/bus ticketing system. It has been a complete disaster, 5 years overdue and costs have blown from a budgeted 80 million to the current cost.
Another example....a small roundabout in a suburb. Nothing special, single lanes, no graduation changes, drainage ect.....cost 1 million.
It all comes down to waste and how these governments manage.
NSW is a basket case, Queensland & Victoria are not far behind.
The raft of increased taxes, charges and fines are clearly unsustainable.
If governments don't change, we will have a very angry society.

In the Irish Republic you would be paying up to Aus$3000.00 a year.
