    Heres my two:

"Ambrose" is a '65 2A Ambulance and has only done 5,000 miles since leaving the Army in '92.

"Gus" is a '58 Series II SWB and is the earliest series II I have found so far. He's also a POS at the moment.

I am just starting to get gus ready to go back together.

    Shonky

Chassis 142900367. It's an ex RAS Firefly which has had a tub change by previous owner, with 2287cc original motor, 1958/59 depending on who you talk to lol, 34,000 miles, imported complete, not CKD.

    Thanks Mick.

Yep - the 1429 prefix jumped out at me. That chassis number would make it a '59 (fourth number is the year in Series IIs) so later than the 2L variants. Always worth asking though!

Interesting that it is an ex firefly!
