Well actually made it to Winton today. Didn't plan to just happened that way. Off to look at footprints and fossils tomorrow.

Puma's running very nicely now after the service, sat on 100kph most of the way in 6th gear. Left a new dual cab 4WD Hilux behind going up the range on the way to Charters Towers. He wasn't even towing anything! I just dropped down to fifth and kept going up the hill past the caravan that had ground to a halt (why tow with a petrol) and so we went on up the range with a about 1.5 tonnes behind.

Be sure to see Matilda, Banjo and Clancy at Winton.

Well we've been around Winton all day - Lark Quarry and then Age of Dinosaurs. Both very good. Had lunch at the Cafe at the information centre - excellent burgers Didn't go to the Waltzing Matilda Centre as we didn't have the time. Head for Longreach tomorrow.

Are you going to do the wing walk? Take photos if you do!

I went there and did the tour inside the 747-sp and that was pretty cool. I reckon the wing walk would be good fun.

Yes, I thought as much. If you work in the industry it's blah blah blah but if it's an interest then it allows you to see stuff you wouldn't normally see.
