Yeah, and he said the OEM snorkel that came out the side of the fender was ugly, I'm not sure his solution is all that much prettier!

"I didn't like the look of the commercial ones so I made one out of PVC pipe"
Seriously, if you are going to go to this effort, surely you would use some nice stainless tube.
Also cutting holes in the floor of a monocoque car isn't something I'd be comfortable with.
Now then boys and girls, can anyone say "inlet restriction"...:D Apart from being ugly and obtrusive - wouldn't want to be a back seat passenger, I wouldn't put that sort of pipe in a hot engine bay when you are relying on it to keep your engine alive.
I can see the PVC getting broken under the car and the engine inhailing a lot of crap!
how much dust and crap is going to be sucked into the car with that much air movement? I can see he doesn't care with all the mud and rubbish over the drivers door etc. But it would do all sorts of wierd things to seals / AC intakes if all the windows were up?
The idea - never mind choice of materials - is so.... "bad", that I suspect the whole thing is a hoax, designed to stir...
Surely, even a Yank cannot be that intellectually challenged !!!
Someone should give him a four metre snorkel and get him to run down the street breathing through it. Then he might figure it out.
He drives a jeep, of course he's that intellectually challenged
It's quite hilarious really, and his description of the snorkel that "comes out of the fender and up here" *gestures towards A pillar* is pretty much a description of every vehicle snorkel available.
The guys an idiot, but if he keeps using this design it's unlikely he'll be around much longer to bother us   :wasntme:
