My first meeting with Reg Sprigg (one of Australia's most notable scientists) was in 1965 in the middle of the Simpson Desert - he had his pilot, Colin Semmler, driving a borrowed Landcruiser down the slip face of a similar dune while he took 16mm movies of it!Quote:

That dune is steep and I wouldn't like to have to drive down it, but of course it is nowhere near as steep as it appears in the photo. Sand just doesn't get that steep.
A telephoto lens has that effect.
