The M3 has the battery in the boot and a +connection just in front of the firewall for jumpsarting . he connected the - to the connection and the + to the engine block.
Turned out he only blew the diodes in the alternator much to my astonishment and relief on his behalf. Anyone tried to find an M3 ECU lately?
When I asked him WHY he had connected the - to the + terminal , he said that it wasn't red!
And he is X gen not even Y gen as an excuse.
