Although that car had a top of the line safety rating and would have protected the family at an 'at the speed limit' collision it was simply disintegrated by the super high energy impact of the speeding Merc.

these modern cars are designed for autobahn use so handle accidents better, i speak to a guy in germany who commutes daily at 220kmh on a cbr750!
