This year’s Eastnor Land Rover Show will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Land Rover Discovery with a very special model – the very first off the production line in 1989 when it returns to Eastnor Castle’s Deer Park on the early dates of 24th and 25th May.
The three door estate Discovery with a four cylinder diesel turbo direct injection engine has the registration mark F981 ENV and is just one of the vehicles on the Land Rover Experience Eastnor stand at the two-day show.

I remember back in the mid-Sixties at the DCA Radio Training School, we would (try to) throw 3"-4" discs of aluminium sheet through the horns of a magnetron (radar valve) magnet.Quote:

When we got it right, the discs would be accelerated and fly out the other side. All due to eddy currents being induced in the metal by the magnetic field.
