Had several trips in these from Rose Bay to Lord Howe Island. One was fitted out like a country train - with seats facing each other and table in between. It had been used on the London route. Went up into the cockpit on one flight. When we landed (water) at Lord Howe we had a speed boat ride the length of the lagoon to the mooring. Last trip on the way back both craft were on the island. One to take the army personnel who were building the airstrip back. A storm was coming so our captain went high and got above it - it was freezing cold. The army flight stayed low. When we landed at Rose Bay all the army personnel were sick because of the rough flight in the storm.
