Well, I watched that scene and couldn't see any relationship.
Another movie I haven't seen and am unlikely to ever want to see.
It's the bit "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller,..."
wasnt the actor playing the principle in that film up for child porn charges?
But why the coffee cup?
