Not really, no, just get less able to understand the fringe and less mainstream of society as you get older that's all.
In this case, the documentary hinted that this disorder was bonafide. Perhaps it is but it has obviously only come into it's own since blow up dolls were invented!. I wonder what the poor souls afflicted did in the 1800's?
