The empty log trucks used the road as a rat run, even though the 60 year old timber bridge was clearly marked 'Gross Limit 4 tonnes'. Hard to deny that one - the logging companies insurance payed for a lot of the replacement bridge, but it was a PITA for the 9 months that road was closed as the detour added nearly 10KM each way to the trip into town...
