Snake bite on penis 'treated with rum can'

"The mystery man who was bitten on the penis by a deadly snake has come forward to describe his unusual remedy — a soothing cold can of rum and coke.
Daryl Zutt was bitten on the unfortunate area by a brown snake while relieving himself near Laura, 300km northwest of Cairns on April 27.
"I squatted down … I reckon I must’ve nearly sat on his head," the Cairns Post reported Mr Zutt as saying.
"He got me about halfway down ... I saw fang marks and a bit of blood come out."
While the snake slithered under a rock, the shocked Cairns carpenter iced the affected area with a rum can while he rang his mother to say his final farewell.
His friends rang triple-0 and raced him to nearby Lakeland, where he was greeted by a paramedic.
Despite suffering nausea and stomach pains, blood and urine tests later cleared Mr Zutt of any poisoning at the Cooktown Hospital.
Mr Zutt's ill-fated pig hunting trip made world headlines when the story broke two weeks ago, but he has only now decided to tell his story after six weeks of ribbing from his mates."

Apparently, the snake was just trying to "get a head" in life.....

It may have soothed the pain and swelling but would have done very little to stop the effect of the toxin. Not to many people actually die from snake bites and while the snake was brown, unless properly identified we will never know.
Imagine trying to put a constrictive bandage on that and maintain pressure
    Pretty funny though.

The snake most likely thought it was another snake invading its property, at least that should have been his excuse anyway...

They do not mention nothing about if he is able to perform "standing orders"
Then again if was a snake perhaps he can use a flute like the indians with the Cobras

I suppose we should be thankful that modern medicine has evolved to give us these new methods of treating snake bite.

Imagine trying to treat this particular snake bite by the "old" method of removing the venom. At least he'd find out who his true "friends" were.
    Cheers .........
