pretty sure before phil sold it he had a value given to him at 30,000 by the insurance company.
Have you looked at redbook? I wouldn't pay 40,000 for one regardless of how rare
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Pay what YOU believe is reasonable. If it's good value to you then it's good value. If you are not happy trying to pull the price down to $30k but are happy to pay $35k then buy it.
At the end of the day you are the one that needs to be satisfied with both the vehicle and the price you paid.
Will you end up kicking yourself - If only I'd offered an extra $1000 ??

I think it looks nice. I agree that the price seems a bit high, but on the std vs modified comment I would rather buy as an original one as I could and modify it myself, and that one looks nicely specced with genuine stuff.
I know what you mean. I got gazumped on one in Melbourne by $1000 a few months ago. Had agreed on the price etc of $31K with the seller, but someone else cut in later in the afternoon with a better offer. I couldn't go any higher, so good luck to the seller but not for me.
i would have sold you mine for 31grand
cheers phil
By the time I saw it for sale, it was sold!
I saw it the other day, we were looking at a 110 and my daughter said she wanted to look at it, until she saw it was only a two seater. I didn't like how there were holes where things had been removed, but didn't look too closely.

Tell me more about the holes! What do you think was removed, and where from?
Did it look like a well cared for car, or one that had been "detailed" back to looking good?
Thanks for the info.
