Thread: Anybody got Wolfs on a Disco?

Toying with another idea

Has anybody got Wolf wheels on their Disco 1 ?

If so:
Tubed or tubeless?
Any probs with running 6.5" as opposed to the 7" of the originals?

Yep - I have done it for a month or two whilst saving up for some new tyres. I took the wheels off my 130 and onto my D1.

I am presuming here you are talking 7.50R16 defender type tyres on Wolf steel rims.....

The gearing was MUCH lower (or should that be higher?) and acceleration correspondingly more lacklustre.

On tight left/right turns over undulations the tyres would hit the bodywork (tin-work, not the chassis).

Was very glad to go back to normal Disco rims/tyres. Looked good though!!
