    Does this also ban bull bars?

    From the same raising and lowering vehicles legislation

    Comes this line

    "This means that a vehicle must be maintained in a manner that does not reduce the levels of safety it provides to its occupants or other road users."

    Bull bars altho they increase safety for the occupants when hitting a roo, they reduce the safety of pedestrians by reducing the point of contact and increasing the impact force. The same could be said if your a D3 owner and you fit a rear tire carrier - less safety for pedestrians.

    This needs to be clarified.

    It is just a convenient whinge for those that dont like bullbars saying that they are more dangerous to pedestrians in the event of an accident.

    This is not true, they are just as dangerous.

    The fact is that if you are hit by anything traveling at speed you are going to get hurt, mamed or killed no matter what

    If someone gets hit by a car it is not under lab conditions so their testing and statistics mean very little in the real world regardless of what they say.

    Just more scare tactics thats all.

    Bullbars will be outside of the scope of lowering/raising vehicles.
