Few years back we went shooting down the Midlands, near Swansea but inland.

Finished up at 1 in the morning, we only got 1 wallaby and his feet were frozen

It got down to -8 that night

The next year at the same place, I found ice on the river about 10-12mm thick

So uch ice on the yesterday morning I unlocked the door and it wouldn't open so I thought I must have locked it. Then locked it and it still wouldn't open. Then I noticed the handle was frozen solid.

Heaps of black ice on the road.

Well I'm typing this sitting in the camper trailer on the banks of the Hume Dam out of Albury... IT'S COLD

I have a nice glass of elixir from a bottle of 50yo Muscat which is helping immensely to make things feel warmer.

The mercury doesn't go past the 20 increment on the thermometer

    ??

I spent the first 30 years of my life living in SA, much in the Adelaide hills region. Plenty cold there.

Alice Springs regularly goes below 0 during winter nights and I spent four winters there.

It always seems cold in Horsham during winter.

Tomorrow I set off from Adelaide to go to the NT for a while.

Will be working about 100km south of Roper Bar. Should be nice and warm there!!

I wish I had your job.Big Barra and big Pigs up there. The last time I was in the Alice, you had my defender for a day doing warranty work on it,dealer serviced before I left sydney and nothing was greased on it so spat a uni,and it was one of the coldest, windiest nights I've spent anywhere.I hurt my back from shivering in a phone booth while I was phoning my dad.
