Fog lights can be white or amber. They are predominantly white outside France where they must be amber.

Have a look at Qld. Transport web site. The mounting and use of fog lights is quite specific and unequivocal. Only to be used in conditions of poor visibility, must be used in conjunction with sidelights, must not be used in conjunction with headlights. "Long Range Driving lights" are referred to as "additional headlights" and must be wired through the high beam. Usage of "additional headlights" is covered by the regulations for the use of high beam. must not be used within 200 metres of any other vehicle, must not be used in any manner as to interfere with the safe operation of any other vehicle, must not be used in any manner as to annoy the driver of any other vehicle.

There, we all need fog lights. It's quite justifiable.

White fog lights = **** factor.
People who drive with them on are pretentious floggers.
Especially morons who take the 15 watt globes out and put 35 watt globes in so that they really reflect off wet roads and blind oncoming traffic.
If you are reading this and are one of those type and have taken offense, tough noogies. Your disregard for the law and your attitude ****es me off to no end.

what is this crap about 15 & 35 watts? My American Perlux fog lights are purpose built for truck use and have Perlux specific 100 watt lamps. Hella catalogue shows fog lights as using halogen lamps from 55 to 100 watts.

page 12 has a table that tells you what you can have.

There's a ******,sorry, the politically term is "owner operator", around here that drives around with his parkers on and his foglights on every night. He has them adjusted so they reflect off the wet road right into the oncoming drivers eyes and he really ****es me off. That and his purple bug zapper fleuro lights under the car.
Now, if I blinded him with a set of Lightforce Drivinglights I would be in the poo.
Maybe I'm getting old and crotchety, but I'm finding it harder to drive at night these days with all of the misadjusted lights, tossers who refuse to dip their highbeams to oncoming traffic and the foglight brigade.

They should be ok, the pod hides the lights.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
